Set of 12 French Dinner Knives Carbon Steel Nickel & Horn France ~1910s-20s
Set of 12 dinner knives with carbon steel blades, cast nickel ferrules and horn handles. A little difficult to precisely date them as they are marked only 'Paris' but the ferrule design suggests 1910 to 1920s.
These have not been sharpened in at all but have seen a little rust leaving shallow pits, the horn shows some wear from washing and most have a crack but otherwise they are very solid.
Carbon steel table knives like these are fussier to use as they can rust or impart flavors but cut for a good long time, especially meat.
