Geo Wostenholm IXL 11" Bowie Carver Carbon Steel Sheffield, England 1890-1930s
An unusual knife, at first glance it looks to be a bullnose butcher with a clip point ground in but it has the notches for a guard at the neck. The 5 pinned tropical hardwood handle looks to be quite old and might well be original, but the lack of a guard is a mystery.
This knife would do great as a butcher knife used similarly to a scimitar or for carving large roasts.
11" blade, 16.5" overall
